Bellarive - Before There Was 2014 Biography and History
History ::
In the summer of 2009, the Lord gifted a unified vision to the hearts of six friends from Orlando Florida. That vision quickly developed into the atmospheric worship band now known as Bellarive. Their heart is to craft artistic worship music for the creation to sing straight to the Father above. Bellarive believes that God is calling them to lead these songs not just inside the four walls of a church, but to whoever will lend an ear.

Band member Sean Curran says it this way, “The Creator is continuously stirring the souls of all His children toward Himself. We believe that God creates His children with specific design to reveal and bring glory to Himself in unique ways. For the six of us, that gift is creating music.” The band believes there to be a beautiful relationship between Spirit and sound, and expresses that connection through their worship individually and corporately. Melissa Mage states, “We pray that we would be the conduit between the Creator and His creation and that His glory would always be the focal point.”

Bellarive travels throughout the year leading for churches, colleges, missions groups, conferences, camps and concerts. They’ve just begun work on their first full-length album. You can preview and purchase their current EP “The Being Human Project…Start Listening” by clicking on the Music tab.

Beckah Shae - Champion 2014 Biography and History
Biography ::

For nearly ten years, soulful singer/songwriter Beckah Shae’s been steadily gaining momentum, establishing her very own Shae Shoc Records with her husband/constant production collaborator Jack Shocklee and turning in seven studio CDs. Along the way, she’s racked up top 10 Billboard Christian CHR radio singles like “Here In This Moment” and “LIFE,” scored a Dove nomination for the latter gem, served as a featured guest on tobyMac’s Billboard blockbuster Tonight album, collaborated with fellow multi-million album seller Montell Jordan on his latest Victory World Music project Shake Heaven and is also gearing up for two appearances on Dove Award winning rap luminary T-Bone’s upcoming album.

As extraordinary as her ascent’s been thus far, Shae’s eighth album unequivocally signals the California born/Nashville bred artist’s arrival as a national force that doesn’t just overflow with her own creative excellence, but also boasts a massive list of all-star guests including Israel Houghton, Crystal Lewis, T-Bone, Eric Dawkins and Canon, sure to solidify her burgeoning platform as a positive hitmaker all the world over. But there’s much more to Champion than merely one of the hottest pop, electronic, R&B and hip-hop soundtracks of the entire year. In fact, a further foray into an astonishing testimony paints Shae as not only the ultimate survivor, but also someone who continues to thrive thanks to faith at the center of her foundation.

“My parents divorced when I was very young, so I come from a broken home,” shares Shae of a complex back story to becoming a Champion. “I walked through many challenging times with my mom, including abusive remarriages, being very poor and spending a lot of time in other people’s homes including battered women’s shelters. Alongside all of that, I suffered a lot of insecurities and went through a season of eating disorders, but even amidst it all, I always knew God was with me and for me.”

In spite of her circumstances, Shae had a supernatural encounter with the Lord at a very young age that she believes planted deep-rooted beliefs beyond verbal explanation. She also credits her devoutly faithful mother, who comes from a strong Jewish family but nonetheless converted from Judaism, and in turn, introduced her daughter to Christ. It’s a faith and heritage the singer/songwriter always clung to even during her tumultuous teens, but it wasn’t until she found herself at her lowest, darkest place in humility and brokenness before the Lord in her early 20s that she surrendered her life completely and was delivered entirely from her personal demons and toxic environments.

“My mom introduced me to Jesus- she’s my Champion as far as that is concerned- and through her humility, grace and love, I saw God’s faithfulness first hand,” she recalls. “I was never personally abused physically or sexually at all, which is an absolute miracle with all that was going around me growing up. Those years allowed me to see Jesus as my savior, protector, provider, best friend, comforter and counselor, which really established who I am today.”

As Shae transferred all of those emotions into Champion, she’s happy to report that besides being happily married to the immensely ingenious “Shoc,” they also have two beautiful children (Joy and Grace) and she’s now walking in complete freedom from the anxiety and bulimia that plagued her younger years. Even a single spin of the album indicates just how vulnerable but concurrently hopeful she’s willing to dig into her songwriting, always striving to channel those previous challenges into a means of present day healing for strugglers of any stripe.

“I’ve walked through a season of defeat, but now I’m walking in victory,” Shae proudly proclaims. “Seeing yourself the way God sees you is the beginning of that freedom and that idea comes through in the theme of Champion. Since we were poor and were always moving around, I had to start over and meet new friends every time. With each adjustment period, I always felt misunderstood, misjudged and like people always had their own assumptions about me. Progress has been slow, but I've stayed persistent and consistent in being faithful to God and this is what He’s done. I’m super passionate about helping others see themselves the way God sees them, no matter what season of difficulty they’re going through. I want them to listen to this and not just see from my life’s example of God’s healing capabilities, but for them to be inspired, encouraged and come to know God intimately, choose the incorruptible, be invincible, see the invisible, and do the impossible.”

Not only has a firm reliance on the Lord paid off in her personal life, but there’s no doubt God’s anointing continues to be on every aspect of the Champion album. Take her fittingly titled “Legacy” collaboration with the legendary multi-Dove Award winner/Grammy nominee Crystal Lewis, which is an unbelievable full circle journey for Shae that she hopes can be passed down to the next generation of music fans.

“One of my darkest times as a teenager was when I was staying with a Jewish family member where I couldn’t really share my Christian faith, and I didn’t have a church or have any type of community,” she explains. “But one of my friends from back home sent me Crystal’s Beauty For Ashes CD and I remember playing it back and forth from my job at the time and having it be the sole source of ministry for me that season. Fast forward all these years later to me getting involved in music, and I was able to present the song idea of leaving a ‘Legacy’ to her and she agreed to be a part of it. She’s been a real Champion for me and is a real example of an artist who planted a seed without even realizing it until decades later. And that’s exactly what I hope to do with my music- sow seeds in other people and have them bear fruit sometime down the road.”

Speaking of someone with a trophy case full of Grammy and Dove Awards, another key collaborator throughout Champion is Israel Houghton, who duets on “Jericho,” a robust pop tune about tearing down the walls that hinder us. The two initially became fast friends when collaborating on T-Bone’s recent tune “Posses My Body” for the I’m In Love With A Church Girl soundtrack, but God also showed additional providence in linking these two powerhouse performers up for this blockbuster duet.

“First off, he’s one of my all time favorite worship leaders, and number one on my dream list of people to collaborate with, so for him to basically say ‘when are we gonna do a song together?’ really blew my mind,” admits Shae. “And check this out for timing and how God’s redefined Champion for me throughout this whole recording process. There was one more vocal part I needed for Israel to complete and we were under a tight deadline, so I called him on the off chance he might be in L.A. for something music-related, even though he travels back and forth between homes in L.A. and Texas. Not only did Israel happen to be in town, but he was at a restaurant right up the street and came in after dinner to finish the vocal!”

And it only gets more mind-boggling from there! Ever see the name Eric Dawkins pop up in CD booklet credits? He’s collaborated with everyone from Justin Bieber to Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera and even Quincy Jones, but wound up reaching out to Shae via Twitter completely unprompted, praising her vocals and suggesting they write together.

“I hadn’t written any songs with anybody before, but I was working so many hours and getting super tired towards the end of the record that the idea of possibly collaborating with outside writers came to me,” she asserts. “Then Eric contacts me after he just wrote on Justin Bieber’s album and I’m like ‘how do you even know about me?’ But we talked on the phone about ideas and he sent me back a demo the very next day, which was absolutely crazy and lead to us writing three songs together- He is brilliant & humble, a genuine Champion, yet another example of how God totally hooked us up!”

In the case of teaming with T-Bone on “My All,” they actually already had established a great friendship (so that was an easy one), though even with their personal connection, Shae makes sure to point out “he’s absolutely an incredible artist and person and has been pioneering hip-hop for decades.” Besides sounding absolutely phenomenal together, the track also benefits from some co-writing assistance from fellow mainstream heavy hitter Crystal Nicole, who’s notched massive hits for Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Rihanna, alongside an armload of Grammy Awards. “It’s a simple song about how He gave His all for us, and that the least we can do is give our all back to Him.”

Throughout all these tunes, Shae turns in the utmost musical relevance, which could just as readily appeal to fans of Christian music favorites tobyMac, Group 1 Crew or Capital Kings, as current EDM scene shapers Zedd (with additional ‘80s-inspired grooves gleaned by sources as diverse as Michael Sembello’s Flashdance soundtrack smash “Maniac” to Peter Gabriel’s Say Anything staple “In Your Eyes”). But of course, no beats would be complete without her main man “Shoc,” who Shae calls “my favorite person on the planet, plus a man of integrity, generosity and loyalty,” not to mention “a constant source of all around inspiration and the crazy talented man who makes all the sounds come together.”

Continues Shae while turning the tide back towards the tunes: “I definitely hope this connects with the Rihanna/Katy Perry crowd, plus there’s more EDM on this album and it’s definitely a hype CD. We got so much feedback from the Destiny album saying how much everyone loved the dance tracks and were looking for more upbeat music to work out to. There’s also a remix of ‘Incorruptible’ by David Thulin, and a remix of ‘Turbo Style’ with Canon that dives directly into the hip-hop world, which is also a new exploration for me.”

Even with all the four on the floor dance grooves, there’s still plenty of room to let Shae’s incomparable voice shine, most notably, on the mid-tempo treasure “Vision.” “That’s definitely my favorite song on the record,” she adds. “Everything about the way that I think and the concept of seeing with your heart is the center of that song. Having the Lord steer my ‘Vision’ is what keeps me moving and keeps me focused to finish strong.”

Naturally, a conversation about Champion can’t be complete without a nod to the title track, which is an all out overcoming anthem anchored in Hebrews 12:2 to remind believers to keep their eyes firmly planted on Jesus, the one and only Champion of our faith. “The imagery we used on the album cover is a drop of blood, which compliments the line in that song ‘it’s in my blood,’” sums up Shae. “Basically because of His blood, we can go on and be a Champion to others. That blood drop is really the theme of this album. The reason why any of us are champions is because we have the bloodline of the ultimate Champion.”

Big Daddy Weave - Love Come To Life (The Redeemed Edition) 2014 Biography and History
Biography ::
We've been a band now for 14 years. We are all grateful for the opportunity to get to travel the globe and do what we love to do while also getting to tell others about the amazing gift of salvation that we have from God through His son Jesus. What an honor.

We started at the University of Mobile in Mobile, AL We have been to 49 states in the last 14 years and have made many friends along the way. We love being able to share with others the calling that we have to encourage others and share with them the gift of Salvation we have been given in Christ.

Here is the professional bio:

Truly compelling music makes the personal universal. Few artists have done that more consistently or more movingly than Big Daddy Weave. Through more than a decade of hits like "In Christ,” “Audience of One,” "You're Worthy Of My Praise," “Every Time I Breathe,” What Life Would Be Like,” and “You Found Me,” they have shared the journey in a way that has won the ongoing respect of fans, press and industry alike. Their musical journey began with a Dove Awards nomination as New Artist of the Year in 2002 and includes a 2010 Dove Award for the album Christ Has Come. They have been honored at ASCAP's Christian Music Awards, were chosen for the WOW Hits compilations in five of the last six years and are one of the 10 most played artists at Christian radio over the past decade.

Most recently, they hit the top of the Christian AC chart - the fourth time they've done so - with "Love Come To Life," a song about the desire to have the love that Christ put in our hearts be more than words that we say, but a love that comes to life in actions. A song filled with passion and intimacy, and with the musical hooks and majestic sound that have marked so much of their work, it is the perfect introduction to Love Come To Life, their first studio album in more than three years.

Love Come To Life demonstrates once again the passion and energy that have made Big Daddy Weave one of Christian music's most compelling acts for nearly a dozen years. True to form, the project teems with real life and emotion, from longing and struggle to breakthrough and gratitude, with front man Mike Weaver's forthright songwriting and intimate and unmistakable vocals backed by powerful arrangements and stellar musicianship. It derives its power from the fact that life and music intertwine so fully.

"We've faced a lot of personal challenges and adversity during the past couple of years," says Mike, "Coming to the other side of that leaves us with fresh things to share, and in a place where we can share even more deeply than ever before." Those challenges, from the fatigue faced at times by musicians who spend much of their time on the road, to a devastating fire that swept through guitarist/producer Jeremy Redmon's house and studio, and health issues faced by some band members, produced a record that reflects two sides of the Christian life.

"You've got the ones I term the belly-achers," says Mike with a laugh. "Those are the hurting songs, which are way outnumbered by what came after that, the songs that say, 'We can't wait to worship God because we see even in tragedy, God, You are triumphant.'"

The bridge between the two was a spiritual breakthrough Mike felt about a year into the process of writing for the project.

"I was really at a low point," he says, "struggling with my imperfections. I was in my garage; my man cave where I work out. I felt like God said to my spirit, 'Why don't you let me tell you what I think about you and what I like about you?' He started with, 'I love your heart for people,' and went from there. I was like a broken heap on the floor of my garage. The things he was talking about are not future tense things like a lot of people, the I think 'If I could get to this point and look like this and achieve that I would be all right.' He has this 'I love who you are right now' mentality. 'I accept you right now. You need to accept you right now.' At that point, I couldn't write from that hurting place anymore. I thought, 'I've got to worship now.'"

The result is that songs like the title track and "Save My Life," a song Mike describes as "gut-level honesty," give way to others like "Magnificent God," whose spirit of worship is set amid a sound both intimate and majestic; "Jesus Move," a passionate call for Jesus' power to flow into believers written with Phil Wickham; "Different Light," a rocker that celebrates the way faith rewrites even the most troubled past; and "If You Died Tonight," a tenderly insistent request to a friend to consider ultimate truths.

"This is a record that's a lot more transparent," says drummer Jeff Jones. "It's one that all of us are super excited about. We can give it to people and say, 'This is what God has been doing in our lives."

In fact, the band's own breakthrough, born of a renewed emphasis on personal ministry at their concerts, is part in the record's feel.

"God has a plan with all of this stuff," says Jeremy, "and maybe it took that extra time and our journey as a band to really bring these songs to life. There have been big changes over the last couple of tours as we've allowed more time for ministry. It's been a season of growth and change for all of us, and the fact that Mike was able to write with worship leaders like Phil, Carl Cartee and Paul Baloche really helped bring all of that into focus for the record."

As always, Jeremy's production is key in bringing the songs to life.

"We approached each song with a question," he says. "'Where can we take this that will make this sonically a new experience, something we haven't done before.' And I hope the way we did that will open up new ears to our music.”

That meeting of life and music has been part and parcel of Big Daddy Weave's appeal since their days. Formed at the University of Mobile, the quintet - Mike, his brother Jay, who plays bass, Jeremy, Jeff, and keyboardist/saxophonist Joe Shirk - released an independent album in 2001 and then landed a deal with Fervent Records, their label home ever since. "One and Only," the title track from their first Fervent album, debuted in SoundScan's Christian Top 5 and remained in the Top 20 for six weeks. "In Christ" peaked at #2, stayed for 24 weeks on R&R's AC chart, earned a spot on the Dove Hits album, and became one of ASCAP's most-performed songs of 2002 - a milestone also achieved by "Audience of One" in 2003. Then, Hurricane Ivan in 2004 damaged several band members' Florida homes and led to Mike's relocation to Nashville. The fact that the move led to Mike's marriage to a Fervent staffer still leaves him shaking his head.

"Even in the bad times, he's working it out," he says with a laugh.

The band has always kept a busy touring schedule and in fact often recorded parts of their early albums in hotel rooms, "literally using the turned-up mattress and box springs as sound baffles to record vocals," Mike says. The fact that those records touched lives and earned chart success is evident in their recent hits package, The Ultimate Collection.

"That was some closure in a way," says Mike. "We are thankful for those years, but in as much as we're seeing the things God has done, we are very full of vision for the future and in so many ways it just feels brand new to us right now."

Which is something reflected as the band hits the road with songs from Love Come To Life.

"We can go forward united as a band," says Jay. "We had been struggling to find balance as family men, touring musicians, and people following the Lord. But the Lord has given us healing and blessed us with being able to find the balance in him. It's been amazing to see God do that in us."

"We are excited about the album," adds Joe, "and I think fans are going to love it. It's an opportunity to point to something way bigger than the band, to the body of believers working together, bringing glory to the Lord. I tell pastors that Big Daddy Weave is the best church I've ever been a part of. When they raise their eyebrows, I say, 'Yeah, I spend more time in fellowship with these guys than any church members spend together. This is the church of the 45-foot bus going down whatever road it is today. It's the fellowship of my Christian brothers."

"This is as much a real family as anything else," says Mike. "The work that God has done in our band makes it all new again because of our sense of purpose, not just to make music but to be used of God. And that's the bottom line--what God wants us to do with this."

With one listen to Bryan Popin, it’s immediately obvious he has a talent too expansive to be limited to one musical genre, but he calls gospel music home. He’s collaborated with R&B legend Chaka Khan and highly respected worship leader Martha Munizzi. Living Word Worship - Be Lifted Up (Live) (2014) biography and history

History ::
It was the desire of Pastor Pat and worship leaders, Caleb Flynn and Stephan Stewart, to write songs that reflect the greatness of our God! Living Word Worship is our church’s vehicle to do just that! Living Word Worship is a collection of people who sing and play every week in the Dayton, Ohio area as a part of the Living Word Church.

We believe that in order to lead worship, we must first worship. Worship is a lifestyle, not a separate activity to be engaged in only at specific times and places.

We have seen the Lord do great things in our church time and time again and we consider it a privilege that we are able to be a voice through song that testify of His greatness. Our desire and prayer is that all who hear our music will experience Him and be inspired to believe that the Lord can do the same great things in their life!

Meredith Andrews - Behold The Savior (2013) Biography and History
Biography ::
At its very essence worship is an invitation. Whether it’s a church congregation on a Sunday morning or a solitary soul reaching up to God in a moment of personal praise, worship is inviting God’s presence into our lives so we can celebrate His glory. That’s why “The Invitation” is such a fitting title for singer/songwriter Meredith Andrews debut on Word Records.

Beneath her youthful exterior and fresh-faced exuberance, Andrews is a focused artist who knows exactly what she wants to say. She creates music that serves as a personal conduit for those seeking to worship God, and she also wants to remind others of God’s desire to reach them. “God is extending an invitation to you, to you personally, calling you by name,” she says. “He knows where you’ve been and he knows your background. He knows your family situation. He knows the things you struggle with, but he’s calling you by name and he’s inviting you to come in and to meet with him and to know him.”

Andrews shares that theme on her debut album with a well-crafted set of songs that are musically inventive and lyrically challenging. It’s a potent combination that is garnering Andrews enthusiastic support. Even before “The Invitation” hit store shelves, Andrews was tapped to open Aaron Shust’s spring tour. In Billboard magazine’s yearly “Faces to Watch” feature, she was singled out as Christian music’s most promising new artist.

Andrews felt the call into music ministry very early in life. Growing up in Wilson, NC, she started singing in church when she was only six-years-old. “I remember the first song I ever sang in church was ‘I Love You Lord,’” she recalls. “Then me and my mom would go around to other churches in our area and sing Southern Gospel music.”

Andrews’ childhood love of music matured into a desire to lead worship. She learned to play piano, began writing songs and during her high school years, she began leading worship at her church. On Saturday nights, young people from all over the area would converge. “That youth group thing we had on Saturday nights was called the Potters House and it was one of the most influential things in my life,” she says. “I learned what it really means to worship the Lord. I’ll never forget that time in my life. It was just so powerful. All the kids that would come were just so hungry for the Lord and we would worship for an hour and then my youth pastor would speak and then we’d worship for another hour or more. I remember there would be nights that the power of the Lord was so strong that I’d be under my keyboard playing because I just couldn’t stand. I couldn’t stand anymore, just being so humbled and in the presence of the Lord. It was powerful and I will never forget that.”

Andrews attended Liberty University where she majored in family and child development, and planned on working in an orphanage after graduation. She was born an only child, but her parents provided homes for many foster children. “We had about 20 kids come through our home in a period of about 10 years,” she recalls. “We ended up adopting three of the boys. They are my brothers now. I forget they are adopted.”

Seeing the impact her parents and their faith had on other children was an inspiration to Meredith and she had planned on a life of service, working to help children. However, during her junior year at Liberty, God revealed His plan for her life. “It was an amazing time of worship,” Andrews says. “Looking out at the student body with their hands in the air, you could tell that the presence of the Lord was so sweet in that place. It was like the Lord just dropped something into my spirit saying ‘This is it. This is it! This is what I called you to do.’ I remember thinking, ‘This is the thing that makes me feel most alive.’ It is also the thing that I feel like the Lord takes the most delight in and I feel closest to him when I’m doing it. That doesn’t necessarily mean being in an arena leading worship, it also means when I’m behind closed doors. Private worship must precede public worship. If what I’m doing on stage isn’t first birthed behind closed doors, then it’s inauthentic. I can’t take people where I haven’t been with the Lord.”

While leading worship at Liberty, a pastor from Chicago’s 12,000 member Harvest Bible Chapel heard her and recruited Andrews to join his worship team. “I went up there in April 2005, which was a month before I graduated from Liberty,” Andrews recalls. “They let me sing with the worship team and I just remember thinking this is a place where I can really grow and that night, they offered me a job.”

Just as God led Andrews to Liberty University then on to Harvest Bible Chapel, he opened doors in Nashville that led her to sign with Word Records. “I wasn’t really looking for a record deal. It just fell in my lap,” says Andrews. “I’m so humbled by it all. It’s obvious that it’s the Lord’s hand and not my own.”

Andrews wrote or co-wrote every song on “The Invitation.” Produced by Jason Ingram, the project not only showcases Andrews’ skills as a songwriter, but her engaging vocals as well. She has a clear, pure voice that draws the listener into her songs and points them to the heavenly father. The opening track, “You Invite Me In,” reminds us all that God’s arms are always open to us. It’s a message that also resonates powerfully on the stunning ballad “You’re Not Alone.”

“Deeper” is another compelling ballad that finds Andrews longing to delve more completely into a relationship with God. In a voice that is hauntingly vulnerable, she shares her heart in a poignant lyric that other believers will readily relate to on an intimate level. It’s that ability to be so transparent in her writing and her delivery of these songs that invites others in.

“When we were in the studio recording, I remember listening to Jacob, my fiancé,’ playing piano on ‘The River’ and there was the element about God inviting us in there in that song as well as ‘Invite Me In’ and ‘Lift Up Your Head.’ That theme runs through all of the songs, but as he was playing this song and I was sitting at this table, all of a sudden it just hit me, ‘The Invitation!’ That’s what the album should be called!”

Though Andrews’ music ministry is poised to impact a national audience with the release of “The Invitation,” she continues serve where she feels God has planted her—leading worship at Harvest Bible Chapel. Additionally, her desire to help underprivileged children has never waned and she’s established Meredith Andrews Ministries to aid orphans and children in need.
Meredith Andrews has seen the impact music can have on people’s lives, but it’s not her agenda she wants to share. Her songs are laced with scripture because of her passion for sharing the word of God. “I never want to write songs just to write songs. I always want them to be about conveying the heart of God to people, whether they are people who walk with the Lord or people who don’t walk with the Lord,” she says. “I think the best way to do that is to do it through His word. I always want my songs to be infused with the word of God because if it’s my words, it’s null and void. What do I have to say to people that is going to change their lives? Nothing! But if it comes from the Lord, it’s that’s what’s going to change them.”
