Tree Hill Collective - One Redemption 2012 biography and historyBiography ::
A New Worship band from San Diego, Tree Hill Collective today announced the release of the first of a 3 EP series that will be released in 2012. “One Redemption” is the first offering in this collection, and features 5 songs focused on the theme of the Cross. The second EP, entitled “One Purpose”, will release in summer, 2012, and “One Faith” will release in fall, 2012. Three of the songs from the EP series were featured on the “All About Worship Collective, v2” released in January on NoiseTrade.

Tree Hill Collective is led by veteran San Diego producer and keyboardist Jeff McCullough. Jeff produces many artists in the San Diego Christian music scene that has brought to the forefront bands such as Future of Forestry, Something Like Silas, Moi, and many others, and draws extensively on the extensive musical talent in the area. Guitarist Andrew Moberly shares frontman duties for Tree Hill Collective, along with a host of talented vocalists and instrumentalists.

Tree Hill Collective
features songs written by many up-and-coming Christian songwriters. The band tailors its fresh sound to the strengths of the songs, which are carefully selected for quality and church effectiveness, as well as their timeless, uncompromising lyrical quality. On “One Redemption”, contributing songwriters include Mark Snyder, Timothy Hageland, and Wisdom Moon.
The musical styles on “One Redemption” range from the modern, orchestral vibe on O For a Thousand Tongues / Hallelujah to the guitar-driven rock anthem He Has Engraved You. All songs are driven by Jeff McCullough’s signature keyboard arrangements. The EP closes with a stirring call to worship in I Stand, sung by Neal Bowman. Lyrically, “One Redemption’ offers us a view of the work Christ performed on the Cross, to meet our most fundamental need – for redemption.
